About Pamela
Pamela Claflin

Exploring the natural landscapes of her beautiful state of Oregon and the Northwest is what artist, Pamela Claflin, is all about. Her deep love for nature, refuge areas, and state and national parks are what makes her paint. She hopes that her true scenes of nature will give hope to the preservation of it.
Using brush and palette knife, Pamela has participated in oil painting events in California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Idaho, Utah, and Montana.
She credits her painting knowledge to 30 years of workshops and classes with Delbert Gish, who worked with Russian Master, Sergei Bongart, for instilling the knowledge and techniques that she uses today. Further training was workshops with Matt Smith, Robert Moore, Marc Hanson, Roger Dale Brown and Howard Friedland.
Pamela has recently also developed ‘Transitional Gray’ works to fit in the many black, white and gray new homes, as well as her full color paintings.

Pamela formed and operated two art galleries for 25 years, including 18 years at Mockingbird Gallery in Bend, OR, and 5 1/2 years at Rimrock Gallery in Prineville, OR. During these times she sold her own work along with her 30 national artists. She is now enjoying her time to paint full time and
explore the Northwest scenes.
